RECONSTRUCTIVE
Implant
An implant is one method for replacing a missing tooth. A
fine metal rod—usually titanium—is inserted or
“planted” into the jawbone after the root of the
natural tooth has been removed. Implants are a very effective
and successful way to replace single or multiple missing teeth.
Further, implants can be used to anchor individual crowns,
dentures or bridges. The “implanted” crowns, bridges
or dentures can be made to look aesthetically pleasing and
match existing natural teeth.

Bridge
A bridge is dental device permanently attached to teeth on
either side of a gap. This very natural-looking replacement
is usually not removable.

Denture
Dentures have been around for a very long time. Defined, a
denture—either full or partial—is a removable
device used to replace missing teeth and improve appearance.
Partial dentures are less complicated and expensive to make
than fixed bridges or implants. Dentures are always attached
to existing teeth to make them firm.
